About Dr. Jurman

Dr. Jurman grew up in Dix Hills and attended the Half Hollow Hills School District. After graduation, he attended Pennsylvania State University where he earned his bachelor’s degree in biology. He then attended The State University of New York at Stony Brook Dental School and Mount Sinai, School of Medicine, for his dental and medical degrees.

Dr. Jurman has years of experience helping patients with facial fractures, jaw problems, and dental implant surgery. He’s been practicing with Leading Edge Oral Surgery, previously PML Oral and Implant Surgery, since 2006, and specializes in treating patients throughout their entire scope of treatment, from initial consultation to surgery and follow up care.

Dr. Jurman specializes in dental implant surgery and frequently performs full mouth restoration which allows for the full arch of teeth to be replaced at one time. His expertise extends to a wide range of topics within oral surgery such as tooth removal, including wisdom teeth, dental implants, bone grafting, laser surgery, and TMJ disorders.

When you meet Dr. Jurman, you’ll probably notice that he’s easy to talk to and explains things well. That’s because not only is he a skilled surgeon, but he is also a certified CPR instructor, giving courses to dentists and their office staff. Dr. Jurman has three children and likes to spend his free time coaching their youth lacrosse, basketball, and soccer teams. He played lacrosse at Pennsylvania State University and he brings this experience to the teams he coaches for Half Hollow Hills.
